i think that's one of em's strengths... the fact that he can write hooks, catchy hooks too, sometimes.

look at game, kanye, and nas' new singles. all of them use samples and whatnot.

well ever sinse Hip-Hop Started it was bout samples, so I aint madd at them trying to keep it real with hip-hop and use the same formula, so why compare them

i think when he chose the chorus for stan, that was really smart, cuz that hook makes the song ten times better. even though it was already really good.
