When we first saw Jurassic Park back in March, the game was slated for release in April, but shortly thereafter Telltale announced the game was being delayed to later in the year. After seeing another demo at E3, I think delaying the game was a good idea. Although the gameplay seems to be fine, the game's art and animations still look a little rough and could definitely use some more polish.
The area of Jurassic Park I saw involved the mercenary, Nima, and a supposed InGen representative named Miles. These are the two people who are supposed to be receiving the infamous shaving cream can from Nedry. When he doesn't show up at the boat, they go in search of him. Controlling Nima, the player has to search around the area of Nedry's stuck Jeep for clues as to where the can went.
Unfortunately, the dilophosaurus who was feasting on Nedry hasn't finished yet, and more of them come out of the jungle with the hopes of eating you too. A battle ensues that gives you the opportunity to see some more great dinosaur deaths, and results in Miles' untimely death.
All of this gameplay is executed with quick-time events and seems to work well, but the art is another story. I saw dilophosaurus slide across the ground without moving its feet, and anytime Nima talked her teeth looked abnormally large and her lips moved strangely. Since Jurassic Park isn't scheduled for release until the end of the year, there's plenty of time for Telltale to spruce things up. Here's hoping they do.
