Since your a sony fanboy how long after the eye & move were released did you buy it? it was $100 at release for the move and $59 for the eye. I remember cause my wife wanted them asap and i shelled out well over a whole bill and a half for them. If it would have been released with the system when i bought my ps3, i would have gladly done so
adding the cost of the newer improved eye would have pushed the ps4 to 499 minimum.

For your first question, if the Eye was bundled with the console developers would know that everyone who owned a PS4 would have a camera and that might push them to put motion controls or stupid camera functions into their games, similar to Uncharted on Vita having a ton of stupid Vita gimmick controls. But because everyone wont have one they wont be able to put any mandatory camera stuff into their game unless the game is made specifically for having the camera. Plus to your point I would have had to spend extra money for the console because of something that I didnt even want.

I have never owned the PS Eye or Playstation Move. Doesnt appeal to me. I cant stand motion controls in games unless it's very minimal and makes sense. Like in The Last of Us if your flashlight starts to go out you can shake the controller and Joel will shake the flashlight to get it working again. Stuff like that is fine.

I get your point, my wife only uses them for really shitty games like ape escape and pixeljunk. I think i've only used it for rainbow 6. It really is unappealing.

But as for the kinect i find it cool to have especially since i use it while browsing shows on netflix and hulu. and when i dont charge my controller, its convenient to say "xbox play breaking bad", or using hand gestures to flip through pages.

have you pre ordered your ps4 yet, amazon has a sweet deal on clearing tax and shipping for its members i just saved one.

Yeah I reserved it at Gamestop the first day they let you. I had to put $100 down which sucked but I have a ton of powerup rewards points and I'm gonna use those to help pay for it. Gonna wait to use them though cause I still have quite a few games I gotta get between now and then.

Im waiting for gta 5 to drop then i'll retire this gen after i pass it.

i'll dont think i'll pre order the X one, i'll just go to the store after it launches. It took a quite a bit of convincing to get my wife to let me buy both systems

I don't mind posting everything here.

Today I did A LOT of reading...and I mean A LOT...and I'm as conflicted as I've ever been. While I'm really excited about the PS4 and the things it brings to the table I'm finding it really hard to just suddenly give up my Live account and game score from Xbox which I've worked 5 years for. I still want to enjoy my 360 games as I will have clan matches that will continue to take place, so the convenience of being able to play both the One and 360 online with 1 subscription is great. If I were to go with Sony this time I'd have to give up my Live account or pay around $100 a year to maintain both accounts and that's a pretty shitty situation either way. So Sony has better graphics but they say it only really matters for exclusive games (same for Xbox) and that multi-platform games hardly have a difference. Thankfully Microsoft changed their minds on some major issues, but Kinect will remain to be vital to the console. I think it's so unnecessary but I'm kind of getting used to it though. Also, The One really seems to be app-friendly which is important to me because I like to watch Netflix and YouTube either by myself or with company.

When it comes to games I mostly play FPS and when it comes down to that genre per console I feel like the One has the advantage. Although Killzone looks pretty incredible...I just can't imagine myself NOT playing a new Halo game.

So that's what was on my mind today, haha.

Yeah I watched a video yesterday about PS4 having about 30 exclusive titles, 20 coming within the first year, but most of the games are just small, digital releases and not really those big blockbuster games. I mean, that's super awesome if you're into those types of games, but I'm really not interested in all that anymore. I don't have too much free time to game and when I do I just want to shoot some noobs, lol.

I'm just super excited to get my hands on these new consoles to try 'em out for myself. I want to feel what those new controllers are like, I want to go in-depth with their menu layouts and all that other stuff. I'm gonna put some money down on the Xbox first but will more than likely be getting the PS4 down the line, probably around summer time. I'm just gonna save a bunch of money dedicated to games so when the time comes I'll be ready to go, lol.

Yo I got a question. My ps3 controllers don't hold a charge as well anymore. They're still in great condition and I don't wanna shell money for new ones. Is there a way to have them sent in for battery refurb?
