just answer these quick q's:

1. do you have a ps3 or xbox 360?
2. do you have a tv (NOT A MONITOR)?
3. is it an HD TV?

if yes, then buy a standard: http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-High ... hdmi+cable

if no tell me back, also just look at the ports on the system and tv. do they look like the pic above? if yes then your good dude. this is a very simple thing that u shudnt worry at all about
