This looks like it could be promising but it also looks like it could suck horribly..



Has anyone played it?
Whats it like?
What are some good games?
Is it worth the $$?
I heard its about $150 here in Canada

I heard that somewhere in disclosure contract that you have accept it allows for Microsoft to spy on you through the camera, so it's not something I'm interested in, lol.

Just be a regular gamer and use a controller, you're not THAT lazy are you? These game add ons are getting ridiculous and totally unnecessary.

Iv used Move. it was fun, but not worth the $ in my opinion..

lol kk the spying thing sounds a bit disturbing to me.. ima have to look into that..

but i honestly think that using the Kinect might make you less lazy, as you would actually be standing and moving for some games right?
it looks like it could be fun to try but i dont want to waste my money, i want to here what its like from someone who has tried it before i make a decision.

I bought Kinect yesterday.

It's actually better than I thought it would be.

It's sensor is very accurate and it works wonderfully.

I also bought the PS Move about 2 weeks ago.. The move is very accurate with wrist and hand movements, the kinect is very accurate with full body movements. It detects you and recognizes your face. People can just jump in and out and it takes them out and places them in the game.

for 150$ thats a damn good price since you don't have to buy any controllers.

playstation move =

100$ for camera+1 controller
60$ for controller 2
60$ for controller 3
60$ for controller 4
3x30$ for nunchuck attachment per controller(optional but reccommended)


So in my opinion the Kinect does more for cheaper, and it does come with some Wii type family fun games, but they are still awesome and soon both PS3 Move and Kinect will have games for hardcore gamers.. The next halo, the next Gears of War etc.

They are both awesome in thier own ways but Kinect wins the battle of price and features.

P.S. They both actually give you a really good workout if you exert yourself and not half ass the movements. Kinect made me sweat!

i heard that the games out right now arent great.. but ther will be better games soon.
and i agree completely that $150 isnt bad compared to what you are spending on the Move.. plus i dont have a PS3 anymore as i sold it because it just collected dust for the most part.

haha ya i just talked to a buddy of mine a couple hours ago and he said he broke a sweat today playing as well.

"By default we don't listen or look at anything," Kipman promises in the Kotaku post. "No data is ever sent back to Microsoft. Period. Full stop."

Kipman also pointed out that the little green light on the front of the Kinect unit will warn you whenever the camera's on — and when your Xbox 360 console is off, so is Kinect.

Maybe so, but that hasn't stopped my wife from eyeing Kinect warily. Luckily for me, though, she's now hopelessly addicted to Kinect Bowling.

I only have X360 ,so no other option right now to choose that move stuff so better be patient for a good review .im never gonna trust microsoft again since that RROD mess .

the new xbox slims are supposed to be much better, i havnt heard of any of my friends getting the RROD with the slim yet, but ya.. i think im gonna wait to see if some better games drop before buying Kinect
