So I just bought Black Op's

So I've been playing MMO's for just about 6 years now (mainly WoW). And a few nights ago, I decided to pick up Black Op's, I decided that I wanted to try out a new type of gaming.

So, I'm basically getting slaughtered lol. It'd be one thing if I was new to gaming as a whole, but I have awesome reaction time and over half a decade experience in Player vs. Player environment.

Any tips you guys could give to someone just starting out with FPS's?

I wouldn't say never, lol. The only time you should really fire from the hip is if an enemy is really up close - gun on gun. I rarely drop shot but when I do, most of the times it works too. Go in Combat Training and learn the maps a bit, play a few games in there, ect.

Oh yeah, don't be camping either. No one likes a camper.

What system are you playing it on?

Move fast, take cover, know the maps/perks/weapons. Basically do what you do n any FPS but more because COD is unforgiving.

Tips For Me:

Best Gun: Famas, suppressor attachment
Best Secondary: RPG
Equipment: Semtex, Tomahawk
Throwing Equipment: Stun
Perk 1: Ghost
Perk 2: Sight Of Hand
Perk 3: Marathon

Well, always try aiming, if their really close don't aim just fire from the hip.

Team Deathmatch is a must for practice or Free-For-All

always look at your map for red blips which means enemy fire (Unless its a decoy which it usually isnt)

haha i've noticed. It's weird going from a game that can be crunched down into spreadsheets and timelines, to an FPS. I'm getting a lot better though, just hit 20 this afternoon

I'd say to burst fire....Not spray and pray.

Although for some reason I get sprayed down in multi-player from across the map every fuckin time. But that is just CoD in general for you. So fuck it.. do what you want. lol.. But if you ever pick up any other FPS, it's bout the main important thing.

Mainly practice is all it takes. Like most things. You'll get better and better the more you play.

I just blew 60 dollars on a trashy cookie cutter created game

There, that's much better.

Now, as for tips, yeah: Always rush people with the knife. They love that. Hide on a roof, leap down and rush with a knife.

-never run into the middle of the map, that equals death.
- use you stun/flash granades in tight situations
- hip fire in close quaters
-stay on the outskirts of the map
-be aware of your surroundings
- check the map if your nowhere near your team mates, proabably means theres enimies close by
most important one is practice
