Well obviously I have it emulated now but I still own the game.
Seriously, I knew just by seeing the Sonic Team logo on the box that I had to buy it...
I was only like, I dunno, 8 or something at the time...
The Sega Saturn was basically a rebound from the failures which was the Sega CD and the Sega 32X, but the Saturn had some brilliant games in it's catalog.
This game was meant for kids, but it had that badass soundtrack and the typical things that made Sonic games awesome, like some nasty bosses, high-speed gameplay, intriguing storyline, fascinating characters, the experimentation with artificial life and cool graphics.
I was consumed by a world of fantasy and spine-chilling awesomeness.
