if you havent seen this, you should. it has loads of interviews with old school rappers n underground rappers. people like rakim, kanye, supernatural, aesop rock....they talk about how theres no originality in rap no more. rakim says "you know, back in the day, you had to be original, you'd get booed of the stage if you sounded like somebody else. but now a days man, its stupid, its like come out n say the same thing he sayin over a different beat" n aesop says "you know, i grew up in the time of hip hop where it WASNT cool to sound like the next guy" n they have freestyles from people, redman, phife dawg, n they have a bit on how eminem got known for his freestylin ability n it has footage of the rap olympics. n in the bonuses...it has a record label guy, and its jus showin how much they know about rap (nothing)...he says freestylin is a part of bein a mc. real hip hop heads shood check it out.
