WTF happened to Family Guy

I dislike American dad. I never enjoyed that show and also stopped watching family guy long time ago. The only thing I still watch is South Park.

Family Guy hasn't been funny in at least 2 years. American Dad is better, but also starting to take a turn toward trashy. Cleveland Show is so pathetic I won't even make a comment about why this show sucks.

Southpark is alright, but nothing to brag about these days, and the Simpsons hasn't made me laugh since season 13.

Futurama is the best for at the moment.

Problem with Family Guy is that it's inconsisently funny, the flashbacks/cutaways most of the time are lazy timefillers. Show's getting lazy but weirdly new Simpsons are tryna be like Family Guy which is all sorts of wrong.

Ever since Seth McFarlane took a back seat in the production and the writting, even the directing. Family Guy has fallen off, it's not as tragic as some make it out to be. The Simpsons i feel is even worse, i dislike family shows, credit to what The Simpsons has achieved, i never was able to enjoy it. Family Guy with its cutaway gags was unique, maybe it has become over reliant, but that wouldn't be noticeable if they retained the same quality. In addition, we have come to see McFarlane consistently convey his political and ideologies through Brian which takes the fun out of things, the lack of the Stewie and Brian partnerships, the lack of decent Meg insults and Chris just being 'there' has sent the show into a bit of a limbo, as they don't know what to do with the characters sometimes.

Anyway the point is, McFarlane's heart isn't really in it anymore, he states himself that he doesn't see himself doing it this long, plus with the current quality he may just not be interested anymore in this particular medium and concentrating on American Dad as the quality of that show just seems to increase.

I have TRULY enjoyed an episode of Family Guy since season 5....I guess I just started enjoying more mature comedy like Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Always Sunny In Philadelphia....I recommend any comedy show on FX actually. Wilfred and Louie are both very well written shows.

I always tell people who haven't seen it...it's like a focused, and more direct version of Seinfeld. Its pure brilliance. I watch in awe of a man who lives his life like that, that's no character who puts on, that who he actually is and how he looks at life.
