and yes, i actually think that i am right saying it was shit. because it was.

I thin it's great because it's original. I haven't seen a movie like this. Ever! The special effects was really good in my opinion. And the best thing in this movie is probably the ending. Now that's something you don't see in a film every day!

it wasn't. i still don't know where the mist came from, it's like a big hole in the plot. special effects? i literally lolled when i saw this 'tentacle' in the storage. it seemed worse than a B-class horror.

the end. it wasn't touching or sad. it was flagrantly stupid. embarassing, in fact. i was embarassed that i actually believed the billboards. i am embarassed for Frank Darabont and Stephen King. embarassed for people who claim the movie was good.

it was worse than Logann's movie he once posted. wait.. Logann's movie deserves Oscar compared to this shit.

THE MIST was explained, they tried to open a "gateway" you could say with another part of the universe, and in that universe there were these creatures, and the creatures came in thru the gateway...

the tentacle to me was done very well. we have no FUCKIN idea what's on the other side of this world, they TRIED to make it somewhat original and i think they succeeded pretty well.

I also loved the ending, it was not stupid, have you watched 24 season 3? a virus hits a hotel, and they give the people options on whether to live thru the pain till they die or take a suicide pill... SHIT like that happens, here in this movie they took the "no pain" path, and they're implying that's the cowards way out, and now look what happens, they army takes care of the "beast" and every thing's back to normal, only if you didn't pussy out, you might be alive.

ALSO, how was the crazy women thing, just not great? shit like that happens daily as well, were some fucking religious lunatics start ignoring fucking reality because some book tells them not too.

almost every part of this movie meant something... i remember reading something about stephen king where he tries to show how fear just fucks people over, and this whole movie was great on depicting that.

the only thing that MIGHT be admired is that the guy actually had the courage to kill his kid. the rest.. total shit.

i hate religious fanatics with passion, so no, i don't think it's great. they're brainwashed and deserve to be separated from the healthy part of the society to prevent situations like the one in the movie.

Stephen King is one of the most amazing writers of the XX century. i'm a big fan of his, but it doesn't mean i like all of his novels, 'The Mist' is nothing near 'The Shining' or 'Bag of Bones' but at the same time i cannot accept that his work is frequently fucked up.
