best movies from 2006

Postby anonymous99 » Oct 22nd, '06, 15:53

overall what do you think where the best films from 2006

a few i have enjoyed where:

Flight 93 aka United 93

good film all about 9/11 and the third plane which was going to crash but because of the people aboard it they managed to stop it.

Lucky Number Slevin

half way through i figured out the ending but i still enjoyed the movie.

Cry Wolf

usually teen horrors these days are all the same but i found this one to be different and thought it was great unlike horrors such as the ring/grudge.

Final Destination 3

a good final 3rd movie to finish of the set into a trilogy, always nice to have a set of movies, most of the time the sequals suck, expecially for these kind of horror movies.

Inside Man

great thriller starring Denzel Washington, been a fan for many years but this was a good all-round performance and the ending was cool.

Hostel

one of the bloodiest movies i have seen in a long time but i really liked it, alot of people give this movie bad ratings and reviews but i thought there was nothing wrong with it, although the storyline wasnt all that great i thought the rest made up for it.

Silent Hill

based on the games for ps1, ps2, pc, i couldnt resist a chance to see this game on the big screen so i watched it not really knowing what to expect and was happy with the first half but the last half wasnt so good in my opinion it could have been alot better, but they did leave it open at the end for maybe a sequal which might be good.

16 Blocks

the second bruce willis movie i have seen this year and starring along side, Mos Def, i had seen him perform earlier in the movie hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and thought that was good also, 16 blocks being about transporting a criminal 16 blocks when it all goes wrong and even the cops turn bad on the transporter, great movie.

Slither

having seen trailers, movie clips and posters for this i had a feeling it was going to be funny as hell, but it wasnt at all what i expected and left me wondering why i bothered to view it in the first place, i dont condone downloading by any means but go ahead and download this before you buy it, you might not be totally happy with it if you buy it first.

there is probably more but i cant remember them just now
