Idiotic stereotypes in movies.

How many of u get pissed off at stupid stereotypes in hollywood movies? I realiaze that some times its funny, but sometimes the stereotypes are fit in very wrong places, like when you watch some movie thats supposed to be drama or something -_-

Which movies do you remember to have those types of stereotypes?

Me:
Armageddon - The movie was all good till they added that russian on the Mir Space Station -_-. Pretty ridiculous, I was watching it in the cinema in Russia and the whole theater of people was like "WTF", hear quite a few "Boo's" too.

Red Heat - Well the movie itself is pretty much a huge stereotype, its funny, but still, too much is too much.

And of course the millions of movies that have one hero saving the world by stopping the Russian terrorist lol... because apparently we are all evil, we all wish america destruction and we all pack plutonium in suitcases.


And im not even talking bout cold war movies. I find it disturbing that many directors still dont get the "cold war" mentality out of their head.

well scots are stereotyped in nearly everything that has a scot in it but not made by a scottish company...kilt/ginger hair/angry

i hate the stereotyping of the UK in films its never UK its England....happens in everything even in the news, Andy Murray ( scottish tennis player ) gets labeled the "UK's" hope in tennis...but tim henman ( english tennis player ) is classed as "England's" hope....you see what i mean ?

i just hate it when they always make the white man look like a professional and successful business man. or that hes supposed to have a perfect life cuz hes white and has a good job. just doesn't fit all white ppl

i hate it when everything goes wrong and suddenly, there comes one guy and he saves the world. not to mention that he's almost dead and sick, but somehow he manages to stand up and fight the evil. cheaaa

-the thing that annoys me the most is all the movies about "saving Black youth." a coach.. a teacher... it's always someone that goes into a minority school and "saves" the youth.

those movies make white people look like shit. the white people tell the black people they cant swim or play football or baseball or basket ball, then the black people go "oh yea?" and the white guys are left lookin like assholes.

Actually we dont arent getting any attention in movies so who cares, about the russian thing yes the terrorist is usually a russian guy which is homo, they are indeed still in the cold war in theyre head

Australians are stereotyped a bit I guess . Usually their farmers in the outback or sumin n they have that really really horrible accent (which I have never heard anyone here speak with).
