Great day of football for me today- watched about 5 games! To sum it up
RVP- has always been and will always be a top class exceptional talent. If only he would not be injured...
Ameobi lost so many balls for Newcastle today, wasnt cool. Balotelli's celebration was funny though
Watched a local game- Bidvest Wits has gained one new fan!
Barca played well, and they have such depth in that squad #surprised
Madrid game was easily the most exciting though, fiery, loud, fast paced, late drama... amazing. Soldado should have gotten something at the end, would have made a sensational story. But, fair result i guess and looking forward to El Classico.

Didn't disgrace ourselves yesterday. Three avoidable mistakes cost us and we created some good openings. Overall, pretty pleased, nice to see Benny slowly getting back his form, looked dangerous. I'd say he's only at about 60-70% of what he can do as well, which is exciting.

Think we'll give the scum a good game next week.

Aye, first 35 minutes we were really frustrated by you. Sammy Ameobi looked good throughout. In the end we deserved to win but you had 2 or 3 chances. One of the better teams we've played. You'll beat United no problem, they are fucking rubbish.

Lmao. I thought Drogba's free kick went in!

Our defending is fucking shite. :facepalm Honestly, what was Mikel doing? I don't rate him at all.

Chelsea must have one of the least co-ordinated and organised defences in the league. Luiz is shocking. Terry looks past it. Mikel has shite composure for a DM.

Actaully looking forward to Chelsea coming to SJP, think we could easily exploit that back line.

I know mate, it's ridiculous. We had arguably the best defence in the league not too long ago, now it's shambles. I'm in two minds about Luiz. Sometimes he's very exciting and does his job well, but other times he's too rash and makes stupid decisions. In a defence as loose as ours, he should not be picked ahead of Alex. Alex isn't even in the squad!

I have no idea why Mikel is even playing, I'd rather Meireles play the DM role. I know it's not his true position but he's not as slow or as clumsy as Mikel.

I don't see us getting anything out of this, if we do I'll be very surprised. Playing absolute rubbish. Honestly, you have a chance of grabbing all three points against us. Would I be surprised? Nope.

You lured Sturridge with a huge wage packet when City were really poor. Money talks. As it happens, he wouldn't get in our Reserve Team.

Poor? We signed him in 2009. You were taken over in 2008 and bought Robinho in the same year for £32.5m. Not to mention all the other bids. I think Chelsea will be paying a total of £6m for Sturridge is all of his clauses are triggered.

--

Title bid is over. We barely look like a top 4 team at the minute, it's ridiculous. We need to get rid of the rust and bring in some new talent. We have the spending power but I just don't see an overhaul which is pretty much needed.

Johnson could have showed a tad bit more respect as well after scoring. The bloke did spend 4 years at the club. I do question some of his team selection decisions though. Starting with Mikel? Luiz ahead of Alex? Drogba ahead of Torres?

Can't believe a fan on Facebook is calling for AVB to be sacked. He can't change Chelsea overnight, give the lad some time.

definitely agree with this, but tbh, I think AVB's going at Chelsea the wrong way, he's trying to make us play beautiful attacking football, which really doesn't fit us, Mourinho's Chelsea were so good, cause we concentrated on great defending, and still won games, we were more organized, I really miss that style of play

But now Tottenham are on the same points as us, played 2 less games, I gave up on the league already, I know it's a long season, but I don't see City slowing down, EVER (this season).

I agree, I doubt City will be slowing down. We are capable of attacking football, but we need to keep disciplined. I hope (and I'm sure he will) Roman will give AVB whatever money he needs in January and in the summer to form a better squad. I then think AVB will get the following season to win something or he's out. Apparently they have a good relationship right now, even during this poor fun of form.

Regardless, I think it'll plan out along these lines:
- We'll pick up the pace during December
- A few players will be signed in January and finish around 3rd
- Roman will allow a lot of spending in the summer to improve the squad
- AVB will then get until the next season to prove it's working.. if not, Guss in (providing he's still free)

Hmm, I believe he's loaned out at the moment.

Unfortunately for young lads at City, you've literally got to be World Class to get a chance.

@Innovation.

Maybe you signed him in 2009 but we were offering him a contract for the preceding 2 years and he wanted more money, so he signed for Chelsea.

Wouldn't rule Chelsea out, but they have to beat us twice to have a chance of catching us.

I don't see it happening mate. I consider us well and truly out of the title race, that was a must win game. I mean we've lost at home again, it's not a sight we've been used to. It's a shame really, we were looking quite strong only a little while ago. I still have no idea why AVB didn't start with Torres. Makes no sense. Drogba just came back from injury and has very few games under his belt.

"Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas says he is not planning to make 'big changes' to his squad during the January transfer window."

We need a few players minimum, I don't understand why he's refusing to admit it. The commentators said that AVB dismissed negative comments about our defence. I think AVB is a brilliant manager, but he needs to address the defensive organisation. It's piss poor right now.

He did mention how Roman didn't spend €15m to sign him just to sack him. I totally agree and I do hope he has the time to prove himself. What he did at Porto was ridiculous. Let him build his team here and I'm sure he can reach similar success in time with Chelsea.
