I wasn't going to bother but why not.. We all know the story, but let's reiterate. I'm not sure why, after this, a team doesn't "deserve" to win the competition? We played defensive football, it's a tactic.

We overturned a 3-1 loss to Napoli at Stamford Bridge not too long after our manager was sacked.

We beat arguably the best team in the history of club football 1-0.

We then went down 2-0 against Barcelona away. Let's remember JT was sent off and Cahill went off with an injury resulting in Boswinga playing at CB and Ramires at RB. We still managed to draw the game level (yes, with a lot of luck) and go through to the final.

We then played Bayern in their own stadium and beat them on penalties. Cech was sensational and our defence was solid.

So why wasn't it deserved? We may not have dominated every team we played, but we still had a lot of obstacles to climb over and managed to do it.

We've been one of the most consistent teams in the Champions League for the last 10 years.

WOW... lol
I like Lello & Inno a lot in general... but anyone who understands football a little bit more than just knowing the rules of it would admit that Chelsea was the weakest team ever to win the CL... they were mediocre last season & they are way less than that this season. I would never say this for Mourinho's Chealsea... or even for Ancelotti's.

I'm intelligent enough to know that it only matters who got the cup at the end... so basically what's won is won... no doubt about it. That's what you gotta say... all the rest comes totally wrong & even funny.

If anything... they deserved it only 'cuz their defense held any team that was ripping them apart & that made it possible for the luck to kick in. The unsung hero & the guy who deserves most credits was Ivanovic... he was a rock all season last year. Cech was the other great but he got all credits he deserved anyway.

On another note Rome won against Fiorentina away... :worship:

:y: Likewise.

I do understand what you're saying mate. I also agree that we were one of the weakest teams to win the CL, but I don't think it's entirely fair to say we didn't deserve it. We beat Barcelona over two legs (regardless of how we did it) and beat Bayern in their own backyard on penalties. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I think they're very important factors to remember.

I admit we were very, very lucky at times; but that's football at the end of the day.

Like you said, it's over and we did win it. That's all that matters. Let's just hope we're going to be in the CL next season. Needless to say, I'm not feeling too confident. :sweating:

Lol.

It was 2-2... Messi got substituted in, and within two minutes he scores (freekick). 3-2 now.

The Table stands:
3-Chelsea - 68 Points from 35 Games
4-Arsenal - 67 Points from3 36 Games
5-Tottenham - 65 Points from 35 Games
and this Wednesday it's: Chelsea vs Tottenham, Probably the most important game of the season

You would have won our bet homie... you had to go ahead with it!
Congrats... well done!

Amazing as usual... his second free kick was as great as the first one. He was unlucky not to have 4 great goals... DAMN! I just can't believe how great this little guy is!

BTW, Rafael fled the scene after tackle, and Sian Massey was right there and saw it all, so Luiz laughed doesn't mean it wasn't an immature challenge by Rafael

Well no game is 100% sure but I was really sure Chelsea will drop points this game & even lost a bet apart the one you didn't take too.
Honestly right after I saw Anderson in the starting eleven I wasn't that sure of Chelsea dropping points anymore but it is what it is.

I am not convinced Rafael had to be sent off but if the ref gave it & if United didn't score goals at home... It's on them all the way.
As of Luiz... I can't stand the guy for who he is. Apart his skills he's a fucking whore & what he did disgust me to the full! I am not saying this 'cuz of the result... there are a lotta Chelsea players I admire but him & JT make me puke in my mouth!

Lello wrote:then I'm not gonna argue about that cause I feel the same way about some United players, Like Vidic, Ferdinand and Ashley Young as main examples...
anyway, a win against Spurs would guarantee us a minimum finish of 4th, which is what we want, but hey, I don't wanna be greedy but we still finish 2nd even
Man City are 4 points ahead of us while we have the superior goal difference, if they draw 2 games of their upcoming 3 and we win all 3 of our upcoming games, we go on top of them at the table, but I don't even wanna focus on that, as long as we get that top 4 spot I'm satisfied

Vidic is a straight up dude & a real fighter like Ivanovic while Luiz is a cheap whore. I do understand your point though.

I think Chelsea just cemented the #3 spot but leapfrogging City is kinda impossible 'cuz they most likely are gonna win at least 2 games outta the last 3.
In my opinion Chelsea should only bother to beat Tottenham & Benfica from now on, nothing else should matter at this point.

Tell you what, if we beat Spurs on Wednesday, I'm going to be so pumped for the EL final. Top 4 is just the only thing on my mind at the moment. If we cement the place on Wednesday, it's going to feel like we just won a final tbh.

Also, I understand what you're saying about Luiz, Francesco. On the pitch he does get quite reckless and he does make some silly challenges. He needs to stop the elbow thing he does. He's such a nice guy off the pitch, though. Hugely talented, he's already one of the best CB's in the league.

I agree... Chelsea definitely have to take Spurs game as a final & after that to just concentrate for the EL final.

Luiz is definitely very skilled & he is a great CB who scores important goals too, no doubt about it. I was talking about his dirty tricks only... like you said the elbows, the bad tackles from behind & all that. United's Rafael is pretty annoying in that department too actually.
