James R. wrote:^Dude am I the only one who thinks the Cards just had a FLUKE of a fucking season with Warner? I mean they lost some huge fucking games (like to the patriots by like 40 points without Tom Brady... imagine if he would have been in there) and were lucky with a shit division. I think they have a great receiving squad, but they have no running game (as demonstrated last night), they have a terribly AVERAGE defense (as demonstrated last night with Big Ben dodging them like he was playing with 10 year-olds) and I don't see them making it anywhere next year with a schedule as hard or maybe harder as it was this year (and it was one of the easiest in the league honestly).

Yeah I agree with most of what you're saying here James. Except for the defense. They're not "Bears" great, or Titans, Ravens, Pats, Eagles, Steelers great, as far as defense goes, but they played well enough down the stretch and in the playoffs, to compliment their highly explosive offensive unit. Like I said, not great and not many superstars, if any, on the defense, but they did show up in some games, so they get PARTIAL credit lol. Actually, they sucked in Ithe Pats game and couldn't stop the final drive of the Steelers in last night's game, so they need to play better, if a playoff or division spot is on the lines, or in clutch situations. I think Wisenhunt is not bad, but not a great coach. If anything, Todd Haley is a beast of an offensive coordinator and it looks like he will get the Chiefs head coaching job, with Scott Pioli at the helm. Another thing- be proud of Ben son. Not that you aren't but you referencing the Cards defense not showing up, and failing to sack or knock down Ben or to stop the drive. That was all Ben baby lol. He is a hell of a maneuvering QB and has skills in that part of his game that remind me of Donovan McNabb. Remember on MNF vs. the Cowgirls 4/5 years back. Donovan scrambled to his left, nothing their, to his right, back to his left, blew some more seconds off the clock, dodged a possible sack, ran to his left, back to his right, BOOM, finds Freddie Mitchell, completion, defense doesn't know what to think or do and a big play comes out of it. That's Big Ben for you in a nutshell!! Makes the play with his arm, using his mobility, intelligence and ability to maneuver around and past, side to side from the defense. That shit he did last night is incredible. Like I said before, not Brady or P. Manning like with the arm or overall talent, but still definitely talented and one of the best, probably the best in the NFL as far as scrambling in the pocket and maneuvering for an open man, as far as QBs go. Amazing.

And the Steelers supposedly had the hardest of all schedules for any NFL team this year- including the playoffs.

Played the Pats, Eagles and the Ravens- 3 TIMES!!!!!! And obviously the Cardinals, who did great in the playoffs.

I hate the Browns, but I speak truth lol. They just have to be CONSISTENT and their defense needs to step up so they're not in a shoot out with every game they play.

Yeah I agree with that. They have a SOLID defense, but not a defense that will make many highlight reels. But that's because, I realize now, they're VASTLY undersized which is why they didn't get a push from ANYONE except that one dude in the middle. They have a LOT of speed, but I think the Steelers would have BLOWN them the fuck out had they had that big back like Bettis in the back field on 1st and 2nd down they would have been worn the fuck out by the end of the 3rd quarter. I mean if you look at that 1st quarter they were TIRED after 11 mins on the field because they hadn't figured out how to stop the phsycial portions of Pgh's offense. I think if they can get some big dudes in front they'll have a top 10 D.

I think he's a good coach because he spent a good long while with Pittsburgh learning from the Rooney's and Cowher, but I don't think that franchise is one that's going to keep the people around him that are going to help him create a dynasty. I mean they got a new coach last yr I think, now they're gonna need a new O coordinator this year, once the D is good that coordinator will leave. They're not built for the long run.

Aww man please believe I'm so fucking proud of Ben. That guy is a great. He might not have the squad around him that Brady does, he might not have the arm/accuracy that Manning does with those long throws, but that guy moves around the POCKET like no other. He's so fucking smart when he moves around it's retarded. Like you said, he'll run left, nothing, run right, nothing, run left again, plant a foot and LAUNCH the ball 40 yrds downfield into a broken up, confused secondary. He really reminds me of John Elways, but more successful earlier on.
