I thought you guys WANTED to win :confusion:

The manager is irrelevant. England have shit players. I don't support them anyway. Not bothered.

Hodgson is obviously a better choice than Redknapp, who, aside from being a complete cunt, is useless tactically.

The pro-Redknapp media will want Hodgson to fail from day one, as well as the egotistical pricks in the squad, who all think they're better than they are.The England players aren't very good. Getting to the quarter finals will be a successful Euros.

I wish Hodgson the best, as I like him, and I think he's easily the best English candidate for the job - experienced, smart, decent tactically, has international pedigree and is good at getting the best from mediocre players (which is what the England squad consists of).

Hate the national team and a large amount of the fans so am never too fussed about England but I'd like to see them do well for Hodgson.

I didn't really post anything about this when it happened as I was buzzing, but Geoff Shreeves was a total twat to Ivanovic. Why he felt the need to ask Ivanovic for confirmation of his booking and then remind him that he will miss the CL final, I will never know. For me at least (maybe because I'm a Chelsea fan) that's uncomfortable to watch.

Redknapp a cunt? :confusion: I always imagined him as being someone you could hit the piss with.

Anyway I'm not sure about Hodgson. Yes hes very good at getting the best out of mediocre players but I don't put the England national team as the international equivalents of the 'West Broms' and 'Fulhams'.
He failed at Liverpool. Quite miserably. (was he given a fair chance can be debated). But Liverpool aren't world beaters. I think they are quite a good representation of the expectations he will have and the quality at his disposal.

He evades tax, fucks up the finances of every club he's at, talks about other players' contracts in an attempt to unsettle them, has delusions of grandeur and puts obvious bungs into his transfer dealings. I laugh at the idea he got Kranjcar for £2.5m.

West Brom are the international equivilant of England pretty much. Nowhere near the top dogs, and are mixing it with, in terms of quality, the likes of Sweden and Croatia.

He was too defensive at Liverpool, and made poor signings, but he was never going to do anything when Dalglish was behind ready to take over his role at any point and the fans/media never wanted him there. He did similar to what Dalglish has done in the league, just spent £100m less.

He's done incredibly well at international level, and it'll be a success if he can get England out of the Euros group.

You're right about Harry. His charm must have made all of those things slip my mind.

I disagree about England though. It should be an expectation to get out of their group. I don't think that is unrealistic. They have more depth in terms of players playing at a much higher level then the aforementioned teams.
