There was an article just last week saying 'Pep chooses City 100%'

That journalist must feel like a right twonk. Or not, because they all know that they're all bullshit merchants.

Boring move for pep btw, it's hardly an interesting challenge eh?

He should have rejuvenated Milan or something.

i saw that article too. "And when i say 100 % its not 99 %, its 100%" fucking chump lol

Well, this is a very interesting move by pep. Bayen Munich possibly have higher standards of achievements than Man City and Chelsea (remember, 2 finals in last 3 years of champions league) but a little less media pressure and scrutiny which would give him time to adjust.

Well, that sorta puts a stop to the managerial circus which would have unfolded. Pep to City, Mou reaction to Chelsea,Fergie decides not to go anywhere, Ancelloti to Madrid, Wenger to PSG. Moyes goes up a notch to a CL side... the whole thing was so far fetched and silly.

Of all Pep's available options, I thought he went with the safest. Was really looking forward to seeing him challenge himself, and show how good a manager he really is. Going to a Bayern that are by far the wealthiest football club in Germany, that has been in two CL finals in the last couple of years and that wins their League every other year regardless of who's in charge is hardly the challenge I was expecting him to take on.

I'm curious about how Pep will do outside Barça. Without Messi, Iniesta , etc...But I think he will do a great job. This picture is funny, how much Guardiola aged during his 4 years training Barça:

Right pic is from 2008, left pic 2012:

Soooooooo there were lot of rumours about Barcelona's keeper Valdes not extending his contract. They seem to be confirmed yesterday. It's expiring in June this year. This means we need a new keeper. Pinto is too old now, and I don't like him, so I wonder who Barca will get.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca are looking at these keepers now:

Vicente Guaita (Valencia)
Marc-André ter Stegen (Gladbach)
David De Gea (Manchester United)
Maarten Stekelenburg (Roma)

Courtois is probably the best young goalkeeper in the world tbh.

What's happening with Newcastle? It's practically the same team as last year, and they're doing so bad. I haven't seen MikeNUFC for a while, would be good to hear his opinion.

Barca just lost 3-2.

First loss this season... It was bound to happen, but I hope they pick themselves up next match. It was 2-2 and Real Sociedad scored in 88-89th minute. Embarassing...

They have a big lead, wouldn't surprise me if the match was fixed.

Not an accusation, it was a suggestion.

56 showed up!!! :worship:

Must have been awesome. We were so good in the first half, Arsenal couldn't get into the game. When Walcott scored, I thought we let another 2-0 lead slip. But it was a brilliant defensive performance at the end. Cahill was fantastic.

I'm not liking these Courtois to Barcelona rumours. It's entirely plausible he could move to Barcelona sooner or later, unfortunately.

We're in such an awkward position. We have a world class goalkeeper in Cech, and one of the best goalkeeping prospects in the world. As Cech isn't close to declining, it will be impossible to keep them both happy in the same team. Courtois is too good not to play, but I can't see him replacing Cech anytime soon. That begs the question, how long will we be able to keep him happy?

I have a horrible feeling that we're not going to keep Courtois. I hope I'm wrong.

Similar to the Given vs Hart question of 2010 that Mancini had to answer.

Got to go with youth IMO.
