Ajax looked like a bunch of amateurs tonight... Real's attack was poorly executed, a lot of chances, but just 2 goals...

Stekelenburg saved them. He did a great job even though he conceded 2 goals.

Agreed, man of the match in my book. Without him it would have been 8 - 0...

Yeah, I only like Suarez lol But I like Ajax's history.

Seriously, how can anyone like Suarez? :facepalm2 He is without a doubt one of the most unsympathetic motherfuckers in the business! Or did you miss the World Cup? I'm not saying he is an awful player, but in my eyes he is the exact opposite of a sportsman.

Ajax failed anyway, Real could have easily scored four goals more if it weren't for Stekelenburg.

@ Dre problem with Zhirkov is he never was a LB. LM was always his position and he was a far superior footballer to Arshavin. Hiddink placed Zhirkov in LB for Euro 2008 where Zhirkov basically did not follow any of his defensive requirements but constantly dominated going forward hence he got all the hype as a LB. He is only good going forward. He was signed as a replacement for Malouda who was crap and once Zhirkov arrived Malouda just hit incredible form for a year.

Don't like the current state of Russian Football we have so many young players who are at a high quality but are sitting on the bench because guys like Danny,Kuryani,Honda etc are better. & Arshavin needs to be kicked out of the National team Hiddink/Advocaat ruined great team spirit and chemistry by giving him Captaincy.

Atleast the clubs are doing well in Europe.

Yeah, I know his natural position is a left winger, but left backs in Chelsea (Cole, for example) often go forward and the left winger goes slightly to the middle.

Zhirkov is rarely good even when he goes forward. He just can't get used to English football I think.

@Killa - Well, yeah I see your point.

I guess you mean winning doesnt have the same feeling as you're expected to win every match? I can kinda see that. Well, not really cus I havent been in that position but I get where you're coming from.

Yeah agree with that too in his first match i remember he scored against AC Milan and then got injured :shakehead: Reason why Russians like Kanchelskis,Arshavin did good in the EPL even though they are less talented then other Russians is because they are brainless and arrogant. Zhirkov is obviously paranoid about making mistakes and completley losing his chance at Chelsea so whenever he plays he is very conservative. I think he did a good job when Cole was injured last year.

I guess it is also very difficult for someone to go to a completley new country which has a different mentality and you have no English skills. Guys like Zhirkov,Pav,Bilya do not suit he English game more suited to Spanish or Italian football.

Great day yesterday. Everton's usually a good away trip, but for us to win made it a million times better, did not see that coming. Ben Arfa's goal was ridiculous and Chek Tiote was absolutely immense - definitely the type of player we've been missing and wayyyyy better than Smith.

2 scores correct, 2 results correct. How shit.
