Peyton Manning

Postby Emadyville » Jan 28th, '10, 16:06

So today in consumer behavior we were learning about memory and how marketers get you to remember shit, and our teacher told us about an article on Peyton Manning and whatever it is called, he can remember everything, I guess it's kinda like a photographic memory.

This explains why he is so good, and how after playing teams and watching film he can change plays and runs that offense like no other quarterback ever has. Also why he doesn't need the plays on a wristband either...

Peyton is so good he doesnt even need an OC... the colts should just save the money and let peyton create his own playbook. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes an OC or is involved in the Colts organization in some way when he's done playing. He runs the line of scrimmage like he's playing madden and giving hot routes to everybody... its kinda unfair actually. He is the smartest QB to ever play and with this next ring he might become the best ever. He knows more about football than any of us could ever dream of knowing.
As you can see I'm as high on Manning as I am on Eminem :smoking:

That's why Peyton is the best in the league.

I believe Peyton actually runs his offense a little differently than what typical QBs do. Traditionally, each play would have routes designed for each receiver, and the defense would react to those routes. The offense would only improvise if their designated plays break down.

With Peyton, the routes are expected to be improvised in reaction to the defense before they break down. Each receiver pretty much has a set of options for their route. When the play develops, the receivers react to what the defense is doing from the start. Peyton is so good he doesn't need to know exactly where the players are going. Peyton also reads the defense, and figures out where each receiver is going to be heading.

Which is unreal.
