The site is made for you guys, as I've been an admin and not a visitor, for most part I can only assume what you want then find the best way to provide it but as I want to keep up the progress here, I want all of you (all 9000 or so) to speak up and give me your ideas, suggestions and comments on these sections:

I`ll be honest the main site is what lead me to the forum, but I really haven't visited the site main page much since. I know that any news that's gonna be on the main page, will most likely be posted in the forum first by some of the really in-tune up-to-date news posters we have. Lyrics, I've always kinda had my own personal resource for lyrics and discography that I use more out of habit than anything else, but it's pretty good. As for downloads, well, I hate to be harsh but the downloads on the site have always been a bit lame, a few new singles, and a list of mixtapes. That has always been a big weakness for me. It can't really compete with the downloads you can now get in the forum which are hosted on servers like Rapidshare, etc. No point in even trying to, so I wouldn't worry about the downloads.

The forum is the heart of the site. But, lately imo it's been a little boring around here. I think our admin should spend more time as a member and less as a casual observer. You are one of the more interesting and intelligent posters on the site, and it's a real pity you don't interact more often. These days I find myself searching for a few select members posts, to see what's interesting, but lately there hasn't been much, last few weeks have been dead for me. So TR get your act together, start making a bit of conversation and creating some interesting topics, etc. Or i`ma hunt your ass down and kick it till it cries brown tears.

As for pictures, not really a huge interest of my own, but I know Truemfan has a huge topic of Eminem pics in "Shady Shots". I started a topic for people to post their collections in "Download Central" so that might improve the flow of images coming in. Try p.m'ing Truemfan about those pics, she might be able to rar and upload them. I know they were probably hotlinked images, but she probably has them saved too.

To be honest, I don't visit the main page, I go straight to the forum. I know that news are posted here, so entering the forum through the main page would be a bit too complicated. But I agree with Fordie that you should spend more time on TR as a poster. I know you're a busy man Tee, trying to keep it all working, but I love your posts, they're funny and smart at the same time, so it's always pleasure to read them.

I'm not sure about technical stuff, but fast reply option would be appreciated. I know it's been discussed alread and you said it's coming, so I'm glad about it. I don't know if it's possible, but umm.. posting attached pictures - right now if you upload too big picture, it's being cut. Is it possible for them to be automatically resized them to avoid it?

And umm.. Downloads. I been thinking about it and I know there's something like "hot downloads", but when you enter the page it's not visible at all. So what about making it more visible and update it like every month? Not only new Shady/Aftermath songs, but maybe something older and rare?.. You know, "When I'm Gone" it's not that HOT anymore.

About Forum

1. I agree wid yoshi about pic thing.... automatically resizing would be appreciated... like it was before forum make over
2. I don't know if its been discussed or not but that previous system of Just Users With 100 posts In Download Central was great!!! I don't know about technical side but that would be great if its possible now as well

About downloads

1. U should add downloads there periodically like once a week/month... I'm just saying that keep updating it even if its small volumes
2. All the available Eminem/D12 instrumentals and acapellas should be added instead of just few selected ones

Off the topic

1. I think album art should be added in the discography page instead of just in ShadyGallery.com
2. Discography page can be much better providing all the necessary details on the main discography page instead of just album covers... u can do something like this wid the discography page http://eminembasement.wordpress.com/discography/

I'll try and get posting more, I've said it before that my role here was to get things off the ground and once it was big enough, appoint a 'community admin' to be the 'face of TRshady.com' and interactive with the forum. That person is of course Asp who has done an amazing job and remains active. I'll always put the technical side to things first, but I'll try and get around more. I know there's a load of great people here, it's not that I hate you all. No, that's not the case ... well, just Global.

I'll add all the instrumentals I have today then, along with every single for each artist.The forum mods are coming real soon as said before, the gallery will become more useful to you guys (it'll be more then just a picture gallery ),.

Keep the comments coming people, be as harsh as you like ... the more suggestions, the better the site will be for future visitors.

News- The news needs to be organized. Set the board up in a way that the news section threads are not able to be bumped.. because a lot of noobs can't figure whats new and whats not and when it comes to eminem their hands are just itching to comment in a thread thats a month old.

Trshady.com- Still feels more of an eminem sanctum than an info site, a real site should have balanced reviews and when Eminem for the times when eminem is off on a coke sniffing spree, not doing music, the D12, Shadyaftermath info needs to be interesting to read. Basically just not really interesting to read. Try Humor, try laying out thoughts and opinions on the main site, try adding more typed up articles from magazines and web-articles, that are actually interesting. More content and less eminem staring in the camera for 15 year old girls kinda pictures.

Forum- Well the forum can easily be fixed, since theres a lot of things on the table that are subject to improvement, but i guess we'll wait till the final board software is installed for all the appropriate mods and layouts.

Shadygallery - no comment.

Downloads - wallpapers, avatars... etc. An actual GOOD (and i mean like a non-amateur desktop) will be floating round the net, itll get more members to join. Bad wallpapers won't do shit.


General - TR needs an official logo and needs something that you can actually brand your own.

Great points Asp and I agree with most but we're a fansite and will always be a site made for Eminem fans and not hip hop researchers although I'm definetly looking into creating more factual, researched articles to make us more of a resource.

@Asp, DEfinitely have to do something with the news, very right about bumping old topics, can be very very annoying. I agree with TR on the other point, have to keep it an Eminem fansite, if it wasn't we wouldn't be here ourselves, changing it to make it more objective would only be to suit our needs and make it interesting to us, which doesn't serve the goals of the Main site's home page: Attract Eminem fans. About the wallpapers, very true, too many shitty low quality amateur wallpapers goin around. Making some very high quality ones, and puttin a subtle but professional TR logo on them, cold be great for attracting new TRShady visitors.
