idea: debate challenge

each week , we can post a special debate topic, entirely separate from sirius debate, and then we vote, where we cant vote for ourselves in a poll to determine who brought up the best points and therefore won the debate. advise the voters not to be biased by what their opinion on the matter is, but by who demonstrates better points and expresses their opinions the best

Not to fond of the voting of who was the best debator but a weekly/fortnightly debate/dicussion etc sounds great. We'd have a pinned topic in Serious Debate with something 'Legal Age For Sex?' and after two weeks, the topic is locked and a new 'Official Debate' opened .. would mean although discussions go on all the time, we have a certain pinned thread that everyone is recommended to take part in.

wow, that might be the first time trshady has made a post that i have read, either that or i just didnt notice. is he on here much. also, tr, what do u think of my trivia thing. and how would we come up with a winner for debate if not by voting

Anywho, as for winner of Debate, my point was I don't think there should be one. How would you judge the best debator fairly?

is it possible to create a thread where there is sort of like a locked poll based on winner, for instance, there is no responses just votes, then we dont have to listen to why/why not somebody should win. but u gotta have a winner, maybe its just my competitive spirit
