MINIMUM WEEKLY POSTS

i've been noticing that the site goes down alot lately, of course one reason is that it takes a lot of money to host a site this big, but another reason is that we have too many useless members on the site!, i mean we have around 18000 users out of which maybe 2% post regularly, so to make sure that every one on the site is a REGULAR member there should be a fixed number of MINIMUM weekly posts ,like say 50 posts a WEEK, if any member does not reach that limit ,the mods can notify him/her with a warning, if he/she gets a warning thrice, remove the fuker from the site,
this way we clean up the site and remove the bad apples we have on here, it may not be THE solution,but it might help reducing the occurence.
what do you think of the idea?

P.S:i duuno if any 1 has proposed an idea like this. it just came to my mind so i thought i'd post

i'm not sure the amount of members actually matters. but i'm a regular member and i doubt i make 50 posts a week, 50 is far too high.

The problem is the site is too successful but makes no money. We get like 100 members posting at once, and TR can't afford a server that can handle that strain.

How has the site been for you in the last two days?
We're on a new server now, but the specs are actually higher so performance should be better?
Or do I have to go grab the boys and deal with this?

Yeah it is faster, I like the idea of minimum posts, but 50 is extremely high, I'd say more like 10.

Also, if you make a requirement for posts, people will come on and just add nonsense to topics or make up bullshit topics to make the quota, and I'm sure we can all agree that there have been wayyyy too many useless topics in the past few months.

hmm i dont think 50 is too high, i mean some 1 who visits atleast once is bound to make and average of 7-8 posts a day, so over a weeks time he shud have enuf posts, plus if ppl start postin crap -the mods are allready doin a good job preventing that.
but in any case details can be worked out , like minimum posts could be 30 or something and maybe more mods to help out but all thats for a later stage,
i think every one should pitch in ideas that can be implemented in case ppl are not able to donate,they can be temporary or permanent, thats up to the users to vote on and decide, right now lets BRAINSTORM.

My sentiments too. Cut it to about 20 or less. It's a good idea Arabian.

But, sometimes there are weeks people get so busy they can't login to the forums at all. Won't that be unfair to them?
