how do u use torrent files?

i wanna download some movies on torrent but im kinda lost..

for example, im on a site called http://www.torrentfive.com and it says some programs are recommended to download, like Azureus, BitComet, uTorrent, K-Lite CodecPack and WinRar... do i need these all or what?.. PLEASE someone give me the lowdown on using and downloading torrent files...

for the program you just pick one of em...i use bitspirit and it goes pretty fast even with my gay router i think the most popular one is bitcomet but i heard it takes up a lot of memory when in use....best shot is to just try out all of them and see which one you like

DOWNLOADING
dl the torrent, double click the torrent on your desktop and a little window should pop up similar to this (program being used it bitcomet)





.....choose where you want to save the downloaded file and click what files you want to download and then click ok


SEEDING
seeding is when you are sharing(uploading) the file for other people to download the procedure is pretty much like downloading except when the little window pops up

you choose seed instead of download


seeding is optional if you're getting your torrents from free sites but remember SHARING IS CARING


last but not least if you get your torrents from vip sites they make you have a certain ratio of download:seed

DOWNLOAD SPEED
the download speed will vary depending on how many seeders and leechers (people downloading) are there....

if there are more seeders than leechers it'll go faster
if there are more leechers than seeders it'll go slower
if there are no seeders at all download won't start


this has been max's help service (remember it's better than yoshi's) and asp should so make this a sticky

that's fast for dial up when i was on dial up it went like 2kb/s on rapidshare -_-
