So in the game the villians are colored black. So? Most games have villians dark colors. I can't see an evil yellow thing as the villian. Black is the more evil color. And omg lips. So what they're just lips. I've never seen a black person with huge red/brown/w.e lips and fangs.

I can see the steriotyping I soppose if you think about it but if I was playing the game I wouldn't have once thought about it.

my personal view on the add is not that its "racist", not like anyone gone cry over it, besides who am i to judge. BUT .. sony obviously did it for a reason and they new that wed pay attention to it in that way, and i dont enccourage that kind of attention seaking.. I myself have no problem with the second one, i just showed u the assosiation it makes.


If i saw a filthy german soldier in a nazi uniform holding a russian soldier in a soviet uniform (acounting that uniforms are made merely to show diference and reference to time) by the jaw in a "overpowering manner" .. id be pretty pissed to be honest, i cant really judge this subjectively but i made my point bout assosiation hype marketing.

I'm not saying that it couldn't be racist, because it's it could. Japan is a pretty racist culture I guess, it wouldn't be the first steriotypical(sp?) character lawlz jynx. Watch, just because of the hype people are making on the racism of the game, the black monsters will be purple >_<.

Sony Pulls Dutch PSP Ad Deemed Racist By American Critics

The best way to convince consumers to buy an all-white PlayStation Portable instead of the original black model might not be a billboard that features a stern white woman clutching a black woman by the chin.

Sony Computer Entertainment announced yesterday they were scuttling an ad campaign launched in the Netherlands that has drawn ire in America for a little more than a week. The version that appeared on billboards last week included the tagline "White Is Coming."

"Whilst the images used in the campaign were intended solely to highlight the contrast between the different colors available for the PSP, we recognize that the subject matter of one specific image may have caused concern in some countries not directly affected by the advertising," the company said in a statement. "As a result, we have now withdrawn the campaign."

A company spokesman said the campaign was never slated to run in the United States, but that didn't keep the ad from drawing a reaction from Americans.

After the ad started making the rounds on gaming message boards, it was picked up by game blogs and, in turn, came to the attention of California assemblyman Leland Yee, whose office promptly issued a statement saying Sony had stooped to a "new low." Yee is the author of a law that criminalized the sale of explicitly violent video games in the state of California

publicity stunt. i truly believe that it was a setup. c'mon there's no way ppl aren't going to buy these things, so they can do any dirty thing to get attention. although it wasn't necessary, there are alot of creative advertising possibilities, i don't know why they went low.
