First Song I Ever Wrote

Postby James R. » Jul 31st, '09, 01:06

I was digging through my computer files and found this shit. I've come a looooooooooooong way lol.

Ballad of a fallen soulja
If they could’ve had they last words
This is what they would’ve told ya
The would’ve

Don’t miss me just remember what I did
My achievements can’t die just cuz I’m dead
I was victimized on my yellow brick road
187 every ghetto area code

They woulda leave you in deep thought
Like I am wit the thought of my aunt
That was a life wasted so young
Death I tasted leaving my mouth so dumb
I find comfort when I realize that God she’s with you
Still doesn’t take away the feeling of being so mute
Sometimes it just seems so stupid
God if you love us how could you do this

For my man L who took heat with no chest piece
Lord may he rest in peace
Nappy fro; head full of grease
I wish he could’ve lived for his daughter at least
Leaving us so lost and hurt
Knowin that he’s with God or lying 6 feet under the dirt
I leave that for your beliefs
If you believe what I believe
Then you know he’s in the sky sippin Hennessy

This is the ballad of a fallen soulja
If they could’ve had they last words
This is what they would’ve told ya
They would’ve said

Don’t think I’m gone cuz I’m in ya heart and ya head
If anything I have more power since I’m dead
I can be beside you and keep ya head straight
No privacy no more this is gonna be great
I’ll protect you from those who hate you
Just know I died before I could congratulate you
Tell you I’m proud of you. wanna know how and why?
Cuz you have the strength to keep us together even though I died

I use these words in my song
Those souljas have been singing for so long
I hope I got right auntie
I think this is what you taught me
I know that I miss you and you miss me
And when they shoot around here you make sure they miss me
You love me but you don’t need me yet
You gotta see what I’m gonna be how I’m gonna be set

I see quick flashes of my fallen family
Til I realize my mind is playing tricks on me
I feel wronged and victimized by these illusions
But now I know they go somewhere when they die, its proven
Memories of them leave me in the limelight
And I still see them in hindsight
I know that the way they went wasn’t right
But at least now I know I have somebody
Waiting at the end of the hallway with the bright light
I cant accept how they went then or now
But I can make sure that wont be how I go down

When I think of the tragedies and their place in my mind
I wonder if they’re fueling these lines
Or is it when I feel God’s hand in my head
And I fade and go blind could that be why
Every word I wrote wasn’t from me or my mind
They were gifts from all the wasted lives
The ballad for the fallen soulja, yes those who died
