Multi syllable rhymes are but the SKELETON of a verse, however other things are needed to fill the skeleton with internal organs. What I mean is; you need to incooperate the basic mechanics needed to forumlate a good verse. Such as, wordplay, meaningful vocabulary usage, literary devices.. things that you would use for a poetic stanza or free verse poem. You need to master iambic pentameter in your own rhythm to make your rhymes flow well. Everything is needed, not just multies. People who rely only on mulites become stale and stagnant. :sweating:

hhah no dots fired sir

but maybe sometimes you force them, which is why i argue everytime someone says your cw king
im not saying I am, so dont think its because im jelous lol

but there are people who incorporate mutlies into a concept with wordplay and punches better :y:

which was my point of that last post

Edit: yes magnificent said what i thought i was trying to say

Half of my tracks have full concepts that I dont sway from but use a dope multi in verey line. idk i mean everyone is gonna use a multi that might not make a whole lot of sense to rhyme better. But that doesnt make em forced. People always say anon is the best and I love the cat but his rhymes aint the same way?

honestly i think my multis (vettoris, spags, bar, solace, etc) are doper than yours...we don't over saturate my verses with them..and we use them creatively to benefit flow.

but it's just you're style so it's whateva

like you, i was focusing more on the audio ppl, now i know u do audio but you're not as big in audio as you are here...

BTW, i dont understand what you guys say when you say it's just TEXT.. but the text is meant to be rapped, the fact that you don't rap it is up to you but even just TEXT has to flow, it has to have everything an audio person can have...

now saying that oh but we can't alway pick up on the flow from text, i get that but that's bullshit imo, any good rapper, can structure his lines in a way you can easily flow it... ask edge, look what he said here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=76518&p=1009300#p1009300

he said it flowed easily wihtout hearing me rap it, i feel like that's how it should be with all text (i hate that i'm using my own work as example for this but i'm sorry it's the first i heard someone say that hear)

oh alright if u was talking about audio... though solace doesnt do audio haha but naw

and i just ment the fact that, if u have a specific flow that is different than your normal ones
[example] drop the world, Em used a wierd flow. had you read the lyrics would u have made that same flow? probably not

though yes a good piece should be easy to flow regarldess. but there are times in which the reader flows it differently than you would

and for audio, then yes flow is retardedly important

i agree, you might not be able to flow it the same way, but you should be able to flow it...(and i know i included solace as an exception.)

anyways, i hope everyone got the point, i'm tired of people who keep saying a piece is not good unless it contains multis, I have to say sometimes a rhyme that's only one syllable that's really creative is a lot better than a rhyme that has multi syllables that aren't creative..

That's Hitchcock, not Fabolous. And Fabolous does use multies, almost every 3 (sometimes 2) words at the end of a line rhymes with the next 2 ending words in the next line.
His rhyme scheme flows so smooth that it sounds like an instrument, for that he is one of the greats.

are you serious? I've had that sonb mislabeled for about a year now then

Fab is on that same song, he's the verse after that. It's Ransom, Hitchcock, Fabolous and then Joe Budden.
