My best shit is 100% inspiration. I go through a 3 verse song usually in around 30-40 minutes, if I do a chorus it may take me about an hour. The most I'll do is think of a concept before hand, but I won't write it until I'm inspired by a beat or an incident that fits the subject.

My less impressive stuff I usually spend time thinking about and takes me anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes to do. It's weird.

I just write... you gotta have no expectations about how cool, big, lyrical or etc you will sound. Just write. Some people are born with the gift to write, others not. Usually, if you write a lot, durin some time, you'll get some skill, and it will get better gradually. Inspiration is also the real source of good lyrics. You gotta realize the moment you havin' it and use it. Good vocabulary can come from readin' papers, magazines and books. Also, read some poems and rap lyrics will teach you how to express ideas in nice ways. That's how I've doin' my lyrics since always. I usually write kinda fast. 1 average verse in like 20 ou 30 minutes. A whole song (if I write entirely from once) is kinda 1 hour to write, read and correct.

I spend more than a week on maybe only one verse. Because the inspiration comes ad goes.

I usually put on a beat and write some shit in ten mins tops.

But that's 'cause I write on a daily bases.

Sometimes I think up a line or two, memorize them, and finish it up when I come home. When it comes down to concept songs, well, those are usually formed while I'm doing something totally different. Like I'm watching a movie, or hanging out with my friends or w.e, and then all of a sudden something hits me. Then I make a memo on my cell, or try to memorize it. And when I'm home I pick out a beat and write.

Best way to find out your own style, is to write a lot. Just throw on beats and write some sixteens. Try to do that each day if you have the time for it.

Actually, if I really go in for it. Like I need to have a song done (Like with C-Riz, he needs the song finished ASAP ), I can write two verses in two days.

my process changes sometimes i do what james does and sometimes i do my own thing, write now im writing sumin that takin me a couple days because the anger left so i didnt feel like i could give it justice if i finished it when happy. But other times i sit down when i feel like i havent wriiten anything in a bit and i take a word or phrase i like and extend off of that into a rap

If i hear a beat that strikes something in me, i can knock out a song in 15 minutes max.

That's how most of my best songs get done. I've never spent more than i'd say an hour writing a song.
