Spring Rain
Staring into the mouth of a lion
Prying open his jaw, teeth shinin
Flem flyin, death defying
Eyeing his insides where his lungs reside
Sliding his tongue to the side
Slime clung to my eyes
Climb in just in time
and avoid my demise
I realize I'm alive
Wipe away the saliva
Restore my sight
But much to my dismay
It's as dark as night
Cause' light
Can't penetrate his mane
So here I stay, hibernating
For as long as it takes
Short as minutes, long as days I'd say
Until the spring rain sprays
and washes winter away
And i hear the clanks of May
Ricochet off his rib cage
Wait for a gaping roar
To make my escape
