wfie.com Wrote:(NBC) - The Duggars are a well known family with their own reality show.
Now two members of the family are being recognized for another reason.
They are being credited with helping to save a young girl's life.
Josh Duggar was in his office at his used car lot in Springdale, Arkansas when he saw a car accident, but as the three cars pulled into his business, he realized things were quite different this time.
"I saw her pull in, and I saw the little girl, when she passed by and parked right here, and that's when I picked up and dialed 9-1-1. I knew something was wrong," Josh said.
In that car, Glannetta Plascensia and her granddaughter Maddye, who was unconscious.
The Springdale Fire Department showed up just minutes later, but while they were waiting, Josh's brother John's instincts as a volunteer fireman took over. He began CPR.
"This girl just a few moments earlier, you know, was just an ordinary little girl, and then, you know just a split second later she's, you know, unconscious, and not breathing and then that the Lord put us here in this place at the time that we could help," John said.
When paramedics arrived, Josh shot home video.
You can see John, in the background holding an IV bag.
For both brothers they know they were at the right place at the right time.
"I don't believe in coincidences. I believe in divine intervention. I believe God really had us here at that time to help Maddye," Josh said.
Six-year-old Maddye has been moved to Children's Hospital in Little Rock and at last check is still in critical condition.
That's the same hospital where Josh and John's newest sister is.
Josie Duggar was born in December weighing only one pound.
