So the 4 founders of Pirate Bay got one 1 year in prison each and are all forced to pay 3 509 469,72 US dollars together in compensation.

And I think it's completely fucked up!

Some time ago here in Sweden, a girl got raped and just before the trial against the raper, the girl took her own life because she couldn't stand seeing the raper again. And then the raper was found innocent by the jury. So the girls family was outraged by this, understandable. I don't know if he had to pay fines or something like that, but anyway, here's my point.

If pirates goes to prison for uploading movies, and rapers walk free, isn't that just as wrong as it can be?!

What the fuck are they thinking with?
Rapers, murderers, pedophiles etc. gets milder penalties than pirates, tax evaders etc.

If TPB can be convicted just because its possible to file share copyright protected files via there site, then the whole internet is illegal.
Why dont they convict msn messenger to because you can file share copyright protected files there as well.

Looks like ourillegal dling are safe and btw they can't close sites like Rapidshare cos it's not actuay supposed to be used in that way but that all i use it for (and holding never-dying links) so leaks wi still be common. Why the fuck Limewire is alive is anyone's guess

I think that PirateBay owners shouldn't be punished. There are more sites that are worse.
