no

when parents take an active role in children's lives instead of just telling them what to do, but actually talk to them, they can influence their own kids instead blaming someone else once they've neglected them and the kids are doing "bad things". (by neglected i mean not talking to them about drugs, alcohol, sex, peer pressure, violence, etc with their children)

side note i have a young uncle (the mad pothead), he influenced me musically. so for as far back as i can remember i've listened to raw rap. i was sent to ISS for quoting ice cube in elementary school, twice. between cube and my uncle there was alot of weed talk and offers but i don't do it.

I thin al this stuff is Bulsshit, sorry for this but.. I'm now almoust 14, i play Videogames around my 9/10 years, but games like Gta etc.
You must coud see it, Game and reallity, if you can't do that --> Doctor.

I'm not aggresive, but i can do a fight, i have muscles etc. but the music helps me to do it. i train every day, just by the music. There is something with music with me, if i put on music i calm down.. or i clean my room.

Music makes me do thing that i normally not do. But anyways.. al these lines.
My short answer -> No.

Edit : I'm tinking on something.. i smoke,, just by songs :p.
Cause there my Role Model.. say, and 50 smokes. but that's my own choice.

No. How Can A Record Be Considered A Bad Influence When U Can Turn On The News And See Charred Bodies In Iraq Or Log On 2 The Internet And See A Human Being Bein' Decapitated? The "Rap Music Is A Bad Influence" Arguement Is Used By "Parents" Who Have Failed In Raising A Decent Human Being And Instead Of Taking Responsibility, They Grab The Most Popular Art Form And Blame That. It Was Done With Columbine. Instead Of Eric Harris & Dylan's Klebold's Parents Admitting They Had Failed In Taking Steps That Could Have Prevented The Massacre, The Media Tried 2 Blame Marylin Manson, KMDFM, Rammstein & Eminem. "Oh, It Must Be An Outside Influence, It Couldn't Possibly Be That We Utterly Failed As Parents"
AUSTRALIAN, If U Gotta A Problem With That, Get Fucked

I can say it depends on the type of rap music, Some rap music is a break for some people to realize what they are really capable of doing, take tupac and eminem for example, these two rappers alone Make rap an amazing thing to listen too, if your into the reality based rap stories, etc..., The music you listen too shouldnt be judged weather or not it is gonna corrupt you or not, It should be more of a learning experience, the way people turn out in general is a mind state issue, Nothing more, Some people decide to be followers, but in my case im a leader, and im sure most of you guys/girls are as well, and i can actually say it isnt rap alone that changes things, rock/emo/ etc.. type of music, even movies let alone music, When you ask a question like this, Theres a little bit more to consider is all i'm saying

I think our muisc is a recorded part of a wide range of people. I dont think that rap music necessarily can have a bad effect on kids, because if someone wants to promote carrying a gun or gangbanging etc then they probs would of done it anyway, like through talking with ppl in the pub or something like tht, so the rap just allows more people to hear it. I dont think its an excuse from people to say that they do something because say 50 cent talks like its something to be proud of e.g. "I'm a gangster and I'm proud of it". Despite this, I do feel in some ways rap artists should be slightly more responsible in what they encourage, however money and fame are often theyre main goal, so if our culture demands masculunity in the sense of agression and leadership in a crime sense, then we can't lay the blame soely on the artists. I listen to rappers that talk about stuf like "Bring it on, we right here (DMX)" and I rate the tracks highly and wouldn't walk out on to my street and say it to people so I don't this type of thing does have a bad influence but maybe it does to some people I duno. Another idea is that I've seen people like in my area use music as a means to get theyre agression up if u get me, like wen they are waitin in a 4x4 with a gang about to do bad shit to people, they roll up with hit em up or like whoa or something, u get me? So maybe it does have a influence, even if it is to only boost someones ego and confidence temporarily. I think its important to say that they'res alot of stuf in our rap music that has a positive influence on kids aswel tho, like dmx, nas, rakim, 2pac, mob deep have all conveyed very positive messages in much of they're music. So, in conclusion it seems to me like how we behave as a community, local and worldwide, depends on our (sub-) cultures, and music alone, although a potentially masively powerful tool for message-conveying, can definately not be soely blamed for any problems kids may encounter in theyre current and later lives.

I belive that rap is just a music genre
the people who make rap are insane and crazy(except G Unit, of course)
e.g Lil' John was a good kid without drugs and shit, i've even heard that he was a good student

50 Cent was slayin' dope on the corners

:flower: Game :flower: was a :D STRIPPER :D

(im not insulting 50 Cent or lil John)

I also think yes and no. It all depends on how strong your values are. If you take it as music, something that you love to chill out to, help release anything you're feelin inside - then great.
Music is really powerful but a lot people don't realize that rappers don't mean what they say in their lyrics, as in they want you to do what they rap about. So many of 'em up stepped up and said so. I don't go off and start drugdealin' on the streets because someone told me to do so. :confusion: You embrace the music but you don't go so far as to turn it into something you have to follow.

To the floor and expect you to rejoice when you eat" - Brother Ali

its a load of bullshit :tounge2:
if yr kids a little shit then its the parents fault naebdy elses :tounge2:
its just parents, nowadays, rnt willing to admit theyve got little shits of children and dont belive that theyr to blame if their kids do wrong so the most obvious thing to blame it on is rap music :tounge2: :tounge2:
its quite sad really........if my daughter even thought bout doing some of the shit kids do nowadays her life wudnt b worth living(figure of speech)

Definite no.

I learnt my swearing from my local friends.

Pop music has much more influence than rap anyway, look how many Britney Spears wannabes there are.
