^It was racist on both sides of the spectrum so it evened out.

People voted Obama because he was black, people voted McCain because Obama was black.

McCain did NOT lose because Obama was black. Even if every black person in America that was of voting age voted for Obama thats like 7-9% of the population which means most of Obama's voters were white. McCain showed he was pussy when he got bullied into picking Palin as a VP. That was the most sexist thing since women were denied suffrage. He tried to swing the base and it blew in his face. Had he picked another old white guy to run with him he would have won just fine.

It also didn't help that he was promising the same shit we've been getting for 8 years. Bush fucked it up for McCain, and so did his advisers. Not anyone's race.
