The government most definitely hides things from the general public, that's not debatable. Only an idiot would think otherwise. Sometimes they do very shady things, like the whole Contra scandal. Generally it's all written off as covert intelligence/national security type stuff.

As for the Illuminati...can't say I'm really sold on that one. Not saying it's not real, but I haven't seen enough information to convince me that it is, outside of weak arguments by people on youtube. I'm sort of agnostic on the subject.

You'd have to define what you mean about it since it's one of those terms people have misused and overused to much it's begun to lose its initial and proper meaning.

In its true form it just means a select group of individuals that is comprised mostly of influential people with financial and / or political agendas.

So technically, even the visible government is an Illuminati.

Some people have distorted it and think it means fucking devil-worshipping hierarchy which isn't what it means so no I don't believe that.

I suppose you mean do I think there's a shadow government, an even more select group of highly-agenda'd people at the top who control and distort everything... Well, yes I do.

In any human-headed organization where there is money and power involved I think it'd be impossible not to have this and this is the reason our system will NEVER be void of corruption, conspiracy, scandal and lies. It's in the nature of the very structure itself.
