This is a stupid question.

It already is English, but that depends how you look at it. I mean, the countries that speak English as the ir official language are England and America. So being that they are 2 of the biggest countries in the world, if they spoke another language it'd be just the same, and people would be moaning about that being the "official language".Nothing is gonna change that, so there's no point bitching.
You speak another language? Fine, then go to a country that speaks that language. You speak English? Then come to the countries where they speak English. You wanna go to a country where they speak a different language to you? Learn the language. It's not complicated.

i can agree with that but i see at the same time where one official language would be a good idea for things like trade and business without having time wasted by translators and mistranslations

English is spoken through out the world, It always has been and always will be the main language spoken.
I seen someone say on this thread that english is easy to learn.

I know many people from different continents round the world, everyone of the people in these different area's have said the same thing, " it's the hard to learn if not the hardest"
I'm not going to debate it but its to do with silent vowels and pronunciations.

Other than that, Thou shall speak ye olde english, if not the newer more improved.
