Postby <Stiiccy> » Mar 9th, '09, 06:04

Political Parties...

seriously who gives a fuck...what is the purpose for these things?

I think there retarded and only cause more trouble for the hope of a Bi-Partisan goverment...

IMO the Presidental staff shouldnt be pucked by the president but should be picked by a committee in order to achieve a Bi-Partisan leadership in goverment...

Liberals are arrogant.. homo.. tree hugging.. socialist...

Conservitives are money hungry.. war wanting bullies..

IMO that Political Parties should be banned...

If there was no parties in government, ud be living in an idialogical government, which would be something more like Fascist or Soviet.

I think you need to different political parties BUT on what you said sticcy regarding how the president picks his cabinet or whoever for whatever position, I think this should be done with their qualifications but done unanimously, basically like lookin at everyones resume without knowing who or what party they for, somethin like that, so the best candidate gets the job, just not the best candidate for whoever party is in office.

We have clearly not the same view of socialism

See socialists take care of poor people and fight for poor people to give them more rights and more speechtime. And of course they don't like very rich people, who vote liberal

The basis of political parties in America made sense. Only rich, land-owning white males could vote or hold office, so they were dealing with much smaller party populations. With the suffrage movements and expansion, the parties have kinda gotten out of control.

I agree that parties are too centralized and their views are too focused. But I can't think of a way for America to reinvent the bipartisan system. No other party has ever been close to being elected into our highest office since Theodore Roosevelt was when he ran under the Bull Moose Party.

I'm a total history buff too :)

I think we need them, I just think we need more of them. I mean 2 parties isn't NEARLY enough to cover all the views. I'm a very VERY moderate person, so it's always a pain in the ass to find someone who REALLY represents me. Everyone always has to settle for their candidate. And then you have the retarded fucks who just vote for whoever is in their party without reading a damn thing. That's just as bad as voting based on race or sex.

Well I think parties are needed to keep the power balanced out. The downside is like in America today when both parties fail you and there are no other options...
