The Number 1 Fan?

For the past 5 years i have noticed my self defending my choice in music alot!, i mean if i listen to underground rap or Rappers others havnt heard off people simply start gettin in my face!, " you listen to garbage man, lil wayne is the shit!" etc..
It started with the eminem & Ja beef and has been on since then, in the begining i would argue back and things would escalate but lately i have the "just dont give a fuck" attitude, i listen to what poeple say and i simply walk away, i've reached a saturation point , i just cant prove to people why i like eminem or others , i cant make them listen to songs anymore and ask them" look at this line, you see what he's tryin to say,, thats genius man!" ,get what i mean? , now here's ma question:
What is the defination of an ideal fan?, should he support his favourite artist no matter what happens?, should he have to take part in all "beefs" and start feuds with every 1 who hates on his Fav. Artist? or should a fan just goin about likin his Fav. Artist not givin a fuck about what sort of trouble his idol gets up in?

i think there is a difference btw being a fan and having no personality..i cant tell u how is to be a perfect fan or a real fan..but just because ure favourite artist doesnt like a type of music or an artist or whatever doesnt mean u cant like them...u can be a fan, support ure fav artist, defend him, buy his music but u dont have to like/deslike everything he likes or deslike...
just because ure fav artist is vegetarian it doenst mean u shouldnt eat meat..know what im saying?
i think its stupid to try to imitate everything ur idol do/say/think

my point exactly, i feel sometimes Fans take it too far, imitating his wardrobe or gettin a haircut like him is kool, but shit starts to hit the fan when every 1 starts goin aganst each other, it has a cascade effect, starts at the top and one thing leads to another and next thing you know every 1 is involved

actually i said the opposite, i think its kool if you dress like your idol, keep a beard like the 1 your idol does, but to argue with sum 1 else over him disliking you idol for any given reason is stupid-To me.
