i think this is a really important subject, just yesterday i found out two brothers from my block that i've known for years and been in the same elementary school like 8 years hoped in a ride after a party with an extremely drunk guy driving, the guy fell down a few times before and a girl was supposed to go in the same car too but she didn't and didn't convinced the 2 guys who were drunk too to not go...so the useless fuck who was driving collided at 80 kilometers / h with another car on the other band so one of them is in a coma, had his head almost squashed and the other one has a few broken bones, and i was really sad to hear that , and i hope they will both be okay... what are you're thoughts on this type of shit? I think alcohol should be banned, but that would be a loss for all governments.

I don't drink because I feel that I lose the ability to make good decisions, but making it illegal isn't the answer. Prohabition never work. Look at the last time alcohol was illegal and the crime that came with it. Mafios and criminals controlling alcohol isn't the answer. Weather it is alcohol or weed, it needs to be controlled.

Alochol will never be banned. People would eventually find a way to get it, or make it themselves. It's like smoking..the government will put out all the adverts & shit saying it kills/harms blabla, but they'll never physically stop it, it makes them too much money, plus it's not their responsibility to stop you drinking...it's just a part of life *shrugs..it's up to the people themselves whether they choose to drink it or not.

I have a drinking problem, for the past 5 year all I do is burn music to a cd go buy a bottle and drive around until I'm so fucked up. I turned 26 a few days ago and I seen the light. I'm getting help now and I've been completely sober for 4 days, the longest I've gone in atleast 5 to 8 years, I've lived a crazy lifestyle but I'm changing before I kill somebody or myselff

Get help, for sure. I've had two family members come close to death due to liver failure from alcoholism. That's not even addressing the issues of intoxicated driving. I've heard Psychedelics have been proven useful in treating alcoholics...

Alcohol is a toxic substance. A poison people use for recreation. Prohibition doesn't work though--same as before, same as it is now with Marijuana. Regulation/Education is the answer.

You can't ban alcohol.. A stricter policy about driving might work, although I don't know if it can get any stricter than it is now (in Europe).

And I know how you feel, a friend of mine died in an accident. He was the one driving, and he was drunk.

You can't deny the fact that after consuming to much alcohol, a human being might do something stupid which he wouldn't have done if he was not under influence.

yeah, but it's a choice whether you drink it or not. no one is forcing you to drink.

Yeah, true, it is a choice. So is drug use, weapon use, etc.

And in some cases it is forced, some people resort to drinking when they have problems.
