actually my friend, South Dakota has enough windmills to power the country with electricity as of right now its not hard at all. its just the electric companies wouldnt make any money if that happened and we could just build more at different location, so if the wind stopped there, we turn on the others, put one in Windy City(Chicago)

About the electric companies, I know here in Holland electricity by windmills is only affordable due to the government subsidizing(hope its the good word) these projects. Otherwise it would be three times more expensive than regular electricity with the current state of technology. In a small, heavyly crowded country like mine it would be almost impossible to power the entire country with windmill parks. Thats why im sceptical about it. But i get your point, in a country with enough room and the scale advantages its a more efficient concept.
