i think thats not so much the girls fault, or the guy being a "poet"
its more the other guys that ruin it
cuz there so many ungenuine guys out there that try tobe smooth and get girls with lines,
and those are usually the ones that break a girls heart
so when a guy says sumthing genuine that seems like a line they wont take it seriously
just protecting themelfs i guess, not wanting to get hurt or won over by a sly dude
i guess its all about the time when u say it to, when u say nice things (depends what) right away they wont take it serious, becuase a girl would feel like u dont know her good enough to say certain things..so then it already rings a bell hes bullshitting her
but i think if u get a really good bond wiht a girl and the mood is right and u say sumthing sweet, shell believe it and be flattered
