They would never be accepted by other rappers..but if they have their fans then..yeah why not.
Like someone said, almost all diss songs call each other a faggot or something to do with being gay. If someone was actually gay, they would be eaten alive.

I think it's more than achievable.

And as far as people saying being white isn't the same, IMO, it is.

Both would walk in to a battle with a straight up disadvantage, both homosexuality and race in rap have their own histories and reputation and cliche' jokes. Both constantly get brought up predictably in diss songs.

Also the same way Asher has constantly been compared to Em as the "second white rapper". The same would happen if Asher came out, then a new gay kid came through.. Music is all about its firsts.

I think for it to work best, it'd have to be a chilled rapper. If it was a Joe Budden, 50 Cent or Charles Hamilton, then they'd get eaten alive by making so many enemies. But if you just made music and didn't arise controversy or crazy attention besides, then he could just ignore the few inevitable haters (you get them anyway) and carry on with his shit.

And Eminem has proven, regardless of who or what you are, if you can spit hard enough, then you can be taken seriously.

I think white and being gay are two completely seperate kinds of different. I don't see how Em and Asher (if he is gay) is the same at all. Proving yourself would be way different. Maybe because Em could rap circles around Asher..Well Em could rap circles around most people..Probably helped.

Gay is feminine and rap barely accepts women in the game so why in the fuckin world would we accept a guy in pink tights wearing lip gloss talkin about how much he loves to suck dick and havin a bunch of ass naked dudes in his video? I don't have anything against gays but they need to stay the fuck away from Hip Hop. "You are not invited." Go buy a Lady Gaga cd or a Adam Lambert album.

Man, the way you put all gays in one category is just ignorant.

Even if you were just average on the outside (but not fat) I could like you if you sounded smart.

:confusion:

I know all gay people aren't like that I'm just saying all the GAY rappers act like that. The out of the closet ones anyway. Go find that dude who sings "My Dick." The way you don't know what the fuck you're talking about is just ignorant. :shakehead:

What we talking bout? Gay people or GAY RAPPERS there really is a difference.

But that's an example of someone that is technically rapping, but has pushed themselves completely away from teh genre. We're talking about if a gay rapper still talked about personal problems/being poor/having a nice car/being shot, and if they blended in normally, would they ever be accepted.

For all we know there are already gay rappers out there, they're just in the closet because they know it would kill their career.

Being a gay rapper is being fake. Making gay jokes/dissing fags is apart of rap, so how the fuck can you call yourself a rapper, if rapping is mostly offensive towards soft people? That's just digging up a grave for yourself if you are a gay rapper. And for people to even accept gay rappers, that's stepping out of the closet for me. Rap is not made for soft people, and homos are soft, which is why they even decide to act like girls it's because they're softy motherfuckers. Asher Roth and all his fans = homos.
