My school has been in talk about this issue all year due to the high gang rates and shit. But, I would never wear one, and my father says I wouldn't have to either. I say this because the clothes we wear is our personality, it's who we are inside. It's our way of expressing ourselves, whether we're a prep, goth, gang member, rocker, thug, thug wanna be's.....etc. If we had uniforms I'd do what I could to manipulate it like Will did on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air...I would resent the school administration...I see more of a problem because kids would act out more, be more rebellious, and just resent what their being forced to be. A school making kids change who they are by what they wear and forcing them to wear uniforms, well that's like trying to teach a dog new tricks....I mean, imagine how many protests there'd be, how many riots there'd be, and I bet the number of school dropouts would double or even triple. To me the schools have more important things to worry about like giving a proper education, buying new books and desks, etc. There budgets are already stretched as it is, and then they want to waist there money on uniforms when instead they could be buying books, school supplies, desks, etc...I think the only reason schools would want to go for uniforms for all their so called "reasons" is because it's just another way of getting money from the people....

Uniform makes u look sharp and shows ur true colors..

And people dont brag about clothes in school.

I studied in a school with uniform.
I hated it wen it was hot, but then again i remember shining my shoes every nigh and doing my tie in the morning. :8)

Most of the people hate it coz they want to show off and uniform makes u equal.

And ull find urself wasting less time thinking about wat to were ( especially the girls -_- ) >>> meaning u gone have less people being late.

uniforms shouldn't be allowed cause if everyone is wearing the same thing it'll be all weird and you don't get to show your individuality. i don't like uniforms cause my school has a strict dress code that states you have to wear a collared shirt, no jeans, AND no red pink or purple shirts :'( so uniforms shouldn't be allowed

u have just stated my point :D
nobody here wud want 2 wear uniforms cuz we have been wearin our own clothes since weve been little kids
also the thing about uniforms makin us equal..i don think thatz tru cuz ppl cud buy expensive uniforms/cheap uniforms...ppl wud still show off
i just think that the kids/student shud be able to make the choice of wearin uniforms or not
the thing about gang clothes...even if there are uniforms boyz/girlz will still carry their flags aroung or hangin them out in their back pockets

the only good thing about uniforms is that people can't brag but then i don't think anyone would care about someone bragging. they'll just think the person has nothing better to do.

obviously we go to school to study but they shouldn't tell us what to wear as long as it's appropriate. as for the collared shirts people could still show off cause they go to a store like a&f or hollister and buy a collared shirt

there are shirt sleve shorts , and of different matterials. Shirts arent the problem. As long is the uniform is well made and of great style is good.

Lmaof @ at who u are inside --- see this is were ur wrong taylor..
a person is not about wat he wears, but the way he talks and acts.
Clothes give a misconception of the person u r.

One thing I especially wouldn't like is girls would probably have to wear skirts, or long skirts, that's what my school is talking about..we wouldn't be able to wear dress pants or anything, so guys might like it because they can dress sharp, but the girls would get tired of a blouse and skirts.....

I have studied in a school with uniform.

It taught me to be need, and taught me to express myself with words rather than putting on the baggiest pants i can find to show off how "hip hop" i am.
