I've used torrents several years now, and I've never had viruses.
You just have to make the right search, look at the seeders, and comments.

its quite easy actually... you google "download free movies" and 60% of the links in the first page are legit (illegal tho) ironically.

there's one called MoviesDataCenter and another called SolarMovie both are great and easy

torrents are probably best, but if youre getting loads of films in one go, or a box set or something get a zip with it in... takes several years to find one that works admittedly but when you uncompress it you can find any viruses pretty quickly

Torrents are a better option imo.
Most clients have updated their security and you can rate torrents that are safe and flag ones that aren't.

I've never had any serious malware or virus put on my computers and I've been using torrents since 2006.
You just need to be careful is all.
