Oh, I see.
Maybe the main webpage picks up on the threads that haven't been approved yet then. No, it's a bot that's posting those threads, we get a lot of those, and some even weirder ones sometimes. We have bots constantly trying to post in existing threads as well, but the post approval system keeps them under control. SajN limited all new members to only be able to make new threads in the "And You Are?" section until they've hit 5 posts, so all of those bot threads are coming from there.
Sometimes, we can't even do anything about them. They're ghosts in the system. They're invisible to everyone else, but we have pages and pages of unapproved threads that we can't get rid of, because the only thing stored is the titles and user info. As soon as you select the thread, they disappear, or the forum system informs you that you're trying to select something that doesn't exist.
For the most part though, the set up SajN figured out works very well. The website picking up on unapproved things would be more up TR's alley of expertise, though SajN now has access to the server as well.
