imo, there's nothing wrong with a few radio-friendly tracks. but they have to be authentic to the artist and not the artist trying to be something they're not.

That said though, if you're a Kendrick Lamar-tier rapper and you make a song with Britney just to get money, that's obviously selling out.

They most likely like them as artists and want to work with them. But that's the limited thinking with Hip Hop... Work with a popstar = selling out, when you could very well be real cool with that popstar and create a GOAT song with their help. But no, let's not push boundaries and work with people we like, because we're afraid people on the Internet will call us a sell-out. I remember the Sell-Out threads on Kendrick when we heard he had a song with Lady Gaga. And even if Kendrick used her on BDKMV, the album would STILL be crazy, so people need to stop with that fuckery.
