The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is the perfect example of what happens when an artist evolves. You can tell he took some notes from Kanye because production-wise this album (especially Bad Guy and Headlights) have some of the best production of Eminem's career.

I can't begin to explain how gloomy and dark the second part of "Bad Guy" sounds.

"I’m your time that’s almost up that you haven’t acknowledged
Grab for some water but I’m that pill that’s too jagged to swallow"

Man, that line really got me. Made me think that Em seriously considered suicide or he just wants it all over. It's so weird to hear this man say it's the last chapter in the saga...I never thought this day would come, especially like this.

The rest of the songs until Headlights don't really hold the same emotional value but they are reminiscent of early 2000 sound and some lines made me laugh out loud. Some hooks were great too. Then Headlights comes around and it's such a...difficult song to process. I was tearing up near the beginning but I have to admit I was bawling around the end especially when he said he felt sadness after he saw his mother in the driveway.

It just makes me think about what a career the man had and I'm so blessed to have witnessed it all.

If this is the last album, it's fucking splendid.

MMLP > TES > MMLP 2 > SSLP

Was high.
