I don't really have a problem with approaching a lady/hoe, but it's those situations when an eventual "rejection" would stir some real awkward ish, damn. YOu know, like 10 years older teachers and shit.

The real problem here is that socially you are a coward of rejection and awkward situations. You must build up the confidence, like one would build up a retaining wall or bridge, and spray your confidence among the crowds of people which intimidate you. Imagine how one might do many pushups before his muscles accept enlargement, you too must fail many times before you are a powerful enough human to go for these female counterparts.

I don't care for rejection, I'd rather fail than not try, but I'm talking situations like your sister's best friend or something, when you can make it awkward for them in the consequent meetings. Or with a teacher, which can go terribly wrong. PLus, it's because there are so many girls out there that these specific ones aren't a must so even if you "miss out" on them, it's not that big of a deal.

Its probably one of the main reasons I hold back to asking out some of my female friends, because of the awkwardness that might proceed afterwards if they don't share the same level of infatuation you do.

But in all honesty, if you feel like a girl is really that worth it, then take the chance.
