When i was in my youth, i believed that aliens where visiting our planet or possibly living amongst us, i'd watch doc after doc of that shit. I went through an intense drug period and got into the whole David Icke spiel, lol..
These days i'm torn as to whether we're being visited or not

Dude, you're living my life.

I'm exactly the same, I completely agree.

So you're having a whale of a time too? :D

I seen a "doc" where there was a theory put forward that pyramids where power stations. I could get really deep into all this but i chose to walk away from OJ land awhile ago, lol.

Yeah I've read about that. A little 'out there' but it's an interesting theory.

What does everyone think about the Antarctic once rumoured to have been a tropical landscape?

I once read a rumor that the whole world was just a big molten rock. What does everyone think about that?

Okay, I'm actually about to get all nerdy up in here, but I took a few courses on Space Exploration and Astronomy in my final year of university and there's actually an equation that takes into account all the factors needed to determine whether there are extraterrestrial beings out there. It's called the Drake equation:
The Drake equation is:

N = N* fp ne fl fi fc fL
where:

N = the number of civilizations in our galaxy with which radio-communication might be possible (i.e. which are on our current past light cone);
and

R* = the average rate of star formation in our galaxy
fp = the fraction of those stars that have planets
ne = the average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planets
fl = the fraction of planets that could support life that actually develop life at some point
fi = the fraction of planets with life that actually go on to develop intelligent life (civilizations)
fc = the fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space
L = the length of time for which such civilizations release detectable signals into space

Obviously there's not way to actually calculate this equation, but it's interesting because it touches upon a lot of things we need to consider while thinking about aliens. My personal conclusion from all of this is that yes, there are aliens out there, but the chances of actually having any contact with them is slim.
Not to mention that the earth is a relatively young planet, meaning other civilizations are probably more advanced than us and could probably vaporize us in seconds

Yup. No reason not to. If by some chance there is truly a God, then there is no reason why he couldn't have created life on other planets in over galaxies. We, as the human race, are arrogant to believe that we are alone. Out of this WHOLE universe, there is no way that Earth holds the only civilization.

The drake equation makes it basically impossible for there to not be aliens.

I believe there's other life forms out there but I've personally never seen anything unexplainable in the sky.
One day though ....
