EB- Eros born year

Da equations we generate from da question

King Tut died 120 years after King Eros was born.

EB - TD = 120 ( since its BC we do it back wards ) ----- equation 1

Their combined ages, when they died totalled 100 years.

(EB-ED) + (TB-TD)=100 ------- equation 2

means Eros age + Tuts age

King Eros died in the year 40BC.

ED = 40


In what year was King Tut born?

we need to find TB

so we substitute
equation 1 and ED=40 to equation 2

(EB-ED) + (TB-TD)=100
(EB-TD ) - ED +TB =100
120 - 40 + TB =100
80 + TB= 100
TB= 20

answer is 20 BC
