Jazzmatazz is more like.. jazz than rap imo. there's a lot of jazz artists featuring on vocals, but also on instruments - trumpets, piano, guitar, saxophone, they really give such a strong jazz vibe. when i listen to it, i don't really pay attention or think about the lyrics. i noticed i concentrate more on the music, cause it's very good when you wanna chill out and cut off the rest of the world for a while.

Jazzmatazz Vol. II - this is my personal favourite from Guru, there's also this jazz vibe, but not as strong as the previous one. more like rap lol my fave would be Lifesaver, Looking Through The Darkness and Traveler.

Jazzmatazz Vol. III - not bad, though there's more of soul than jazz. but also good album, i really like Angie Stone's featuring on Keep Your Worries and Erykah Badu.

Jazzmatazz Vol. IV - i really like it too. couple of tracks really kick ass, i was hooked from the beginning to International ft. Bobby Valentino, but also to State Of Clarity ft. Common and Bob James.
