Exclusive to rap ?

Postby Good For Nothing » Dec 2nd, '10, 20:23

Is hip-hop/Rap for anyone the only genre they listen to ?

For me it is, not because i think all the other genres aren't good, because i respect and appreciate other artists in other genres. It's just that i can't get into them at all, there's just no connection. However I thought a lot of people were like me but after wandering over to the "general music" section and seeing that almost all the members have musical interests outside of hip-hop, it turns out that I'm the minority.

So is there anyone else that only listens to rap ?

I used to, for a period of 8 years... Now I'm back to exploring other genres, such as RnB, Soul, Jaz, Pop, Classic music, Rock, Arabic music..

It's my favourite genre and type of music, but I listen to much more. I have an open mind.

Listen to "Courtesy of The Red, White, and Blue". Since you are not American, it might not hit home as hard, but when I listen to it, I get chills up my spine. :'( Makes me proud to be an American
